Federal law gives you the right to union
representation in the event of a disciplinary interview on the job. If
the boss calls you into the office, be prepared with this statement:
I refuse to submit to this investigatory interview
because I fear that I will suffer discipline or termination of my
employment and I demand my right to have Union Representation present on
my behalf before this proceeding continues. If my demand is not
acknowledged, then I refuse to participate in this process. If you
impose discipline, it will be subject to my right to challenge it
through the grievance procedure.
