Grocery Workers Retention Ordinance

Supervisor Fiona Ma introduced The Grocery Worker Ordinance which supports our membership. Thanks to her hard work and the entire Board of Supervisors support of this ordinance (11-0), it was passed.

Contracts Now Available

The collective bargaining covering our members working for Safeway, Albertson's, Ralph's and Delano's IGA Markets are now available.  You should have received one at your store from your Union Representative.  If you have not received one you can pick up a copy at the Union office.

This contract needed additional time to prepare due to the fact that the 2001 contract was not printed and the relevant provisions of the 2004 settlement needed to be included in a reformatted collective bargaining agreement which also conformed with the other bay area UFCW Locals.
